In 1987, when i got my hands for the first time on a computer, I immediately knew that powerful, yet mysterious tool, was just handed to me. It could do so much, but so much of it was a unknown to me.
From that moment forward I began a journey driven by my desire to solve problems that, sometimes for pleasure, and often for work, gave me the occasion to experiment and learn.
At that time I didn’t know about the existence of the internet, but it was clear that computers were about sharing information and I immediately had the opportunity to play around with BBS around the world, dialing in with slow modems, yes, kind of like that kid in the movie WarGames, except that I had permission to log into the systems i logged in.
This passion finally became my profession in 1996. First making simple webpages, then coding more, then expanding into the world of hosting, servers, developing and deploying more and more complex web accessible applications, databases and B2B apps.
Fast forward to today, having had the opportunity to learn many languages and everyday more powerful technologies, I’m still here learning and enjoying making things work.
A portion of what I have done over the years is web design work, so i wrote a short history of web design, read it only if you want to have fun.
